Sew & Sew Wines ‘Sashiko’ Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris 2022

After an incredible vintage in 2021, the 2022 vintage does not disappoint. The Adelaide Hills has produced two excellent vintages in a row now. A cool, wet spring leading into the growing season saw good soil moisture, which led into a warm November and an even and coolish summer with no extreme weather events. The resulting fruit was bright and flavoursome with excellent acidity.

 This wine shows exceptional clarity with a colour of very pale straw. The nose is abundant with pear, nashi pear and a hint of blossom. Pear predominates a palate which also shows green apple, orange blossom and citrus notes.

Good acidity balances out a lush and generous mouth feel.
