The natural flow of creativity captured over time
The Flowstone vineyard is located at the edge of the Margaret River Plateau and the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge. These adjacent yet contrasting landforms share the ancient and impermeable Leeuwin Block granite basement rock, which affects water movement in the limestone ridge caves and the plateau’s deep, gravelly soils. These water flows are vital for forming the crystalline structures in the caves and for the health of the vines in the plateau’s soils. In the quiet scenery of the limestone cave and the vineyard landscape, the flowstone formations and wine reflect simplicity in their physical appearance while hiding a complex process unique to the area. The centrepiece of our story and wines is the Flowstone vineyard in the Forest Grove region, 17 km south of Margaret River. Here, we grow Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Touriga, and Gewurztraminer . From our satellite vineyards, we also source Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay from Karridale, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Wilyabrup.
